During water play, the children are running through the sprinkler, filling buckets up and pouring the water out. Water play also helps with academic learning.
As far as science, the children are learning about floating and sinking. In math, children are learning about measuring. Water play also children to explore and interact with each other.

It also encourages creativity. The children are able to pretend and use their imagination and it is so much fun. That is the reason why we have splash day.
