EYFS Celebrates “The Week of the Young Child”
- October 10, 2018
- Category: Junior Kindergarten, Preschool, Senior Kindergarten
In order to celebrate this special week and the interests and development of the children, all teachers and assistants from The Early Years team collaborated and assembled a variety of play stations to engage and allow the children to explore.
The children enjoyed fun stations such as role play, music and movement, food, spray painting, colour relay, reading books and block play. They were able to engage in these activities solitarily or with their peers.
All of the children happily went from station to station. The food, shop and restaurant play area were extremely popular; we had shoppers, diners and chefs all about!
The Early Years teachers were very pleased to see the students playing together, running around with friends and, of course, laughing and giggling at each other. Through playing, the children were also learning in different areas.
In taking part in these play stations the children learnt patience, self-help skills, memory recall, role play, cognitive development, fine and gross motor skills and they developed listening, coordination and social skills.
THE EYFS TEAM IS ALWAYS HAPPY TO PLAY WITH THESE BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN!
