1st Triathlon displays Competitiveness, Spirit and Fun
It was a wonderful event and all the children had a fabulous time: they are already talking about next year’s Triathlon! See all the photos on the International School Facebook
Children from Grades 1 - 6 participated in the swim, bike and run challenge. Most were in teams of three and completed one challenge each.
The competition started early morning at the International School pool, followed by the bike race through the Leeward area and finishing with the run through the sponsored gateway into the school grounds.
Parents and supporters were proud to see great displays of determination and team spirit from the children.
The event was concluded with a medal presentation to the winning teams from Kevin from the Run for Fun organization in the TCI. Well done everyone!
We could not have done it without your support however, and this team work is what has led to such a successful morning of sport. And so it is, that, on behalf of the school, we extend a huge THANK YOU to: Kevin from Run for Fun, for lending his expertise and assistance in putting the Triathlon together; the Emergency Services (police and medical), for ensuring our children’s safety; Flamingo Pharmacy, for supplying the Finish Arch and medical personnel; the volunteer marshalls, for assisting with safety along the route; the parents and friends of the school, for supporting our young athletes; the teachers, for their assistance in organisation and of course, to Mr. Williams, for pulling together all of the above and making the whole event possible. What a team!
