This year's event was a wonderful success and all the children had a fabulous time: they are already talking about next year’s Triathlon!

Children from Grades 1 - 7 participated in the swim, bike and run challenge. Most were in teams of three and completed one challenge each.

The competition started early morning at the International School pool, followed by the bike race through the Leeward area and finishing with the run through the sponsored gateway into the school grounds.

Parents and supporters were proud to see great displays of determination and team spirit from the children.

The event was concluded with a medal presentation to the winning teams from the sponsors and the Run for Fun organization in the TCI.

Well done everyone!

Distances

Swim: Grades 1 and 3: 1 lap, Grades 4 and 5: 2 laps and Grades 6 and 7: 3 laps

Bike: Grades 1 and 3: 1 ½ m, Grades 4 and 5: 2 m and Grades 6 and 7: 2 ½ m.

Run: Grades 1 and 3: 1 ½ m, Grades 4 and 5: 2 m and Grades 6 and 7: 2 ½ m.

And so it is, that, on behalf of the school, we extend a huge THANK YOU to: Run for Fun, the Emergency Services (police and medical), for ensuring our children’s safety; Flamingo Pharmacy, for supplying the Finish Arch and medical personnel; the volunteer marshals, for assisting with safety along the route; the parents and friends of the school, for supporting our young athletes; the teachers, for their assistance in organisation and of course, to Mr. Williams, for pulling together all of the above and making the whole event possible.
