When ISTCI was informed that our campus was closing, our staff had to gather ourselves and brainstorm ways to teach and learn online. Google Classroom was new to most of us, but we have most definitely given it our all!
Since ISTCI's campus closed, our 4 and 5 years old students quickly adapted to online learning!
They have been eager to achieve their full potential by demonstrating to their teacher, Ms Jacqui, how much their love of learning will not be put on hold!
Each student has had the opportunity to read online with sessions with Ms. Thasya and has had creative activities to complete.
The children have excelled in all areas!
In Mathematics, they were taught how to record number sentences, one/two more and less than a given number and how to solve number problems.
In Phonics, the students learnt Phase 3 digraphs and trigraphs and how to use them to write sentences, both dictated and independently.
In Handwriting, SK continued to learn to form words using the correct letter formation and number correctly. They progressed to writing joins- much to their teachers' surprise! The children demonstrated this further by joining continuous strings of letters.
Well done to our Senior Kindergarten children for your continued efforts with our online sessions.
Also, a big, big thank you to all the parents that allowed your child to continue with their educational growth. I am sure that you are as proud to observe first-hand how your child learns and develops through continuous educational stimulation.
