My name is Fernando Ayuso and I was born in Spain. Since I can remember, I always wanted to be a teacher. I achieved my Bachelor’s Degree in Teaching at the University of Valladolid, Spain where I specialized in Physical Education.
After 2 years of teaching in Spain, my passion for languages and other cultures encouraged me move to the UK, where I taught in various classrooms for 9 years. In September of 2021, I had the pleasure of moving to Turks and Caicos to begin a career at the International School of Turks and Caicos Islands.
I believe in education as a holistic approach, where the academic learning is as important as the acquisition of values that will make the children succeed in their lives. From my experience, it is important to understand and build a positive relationship with each child to support them in achieving their best. This is what I intend to do in my classroom. I am very lucky that during my career I have taught early years, primary and secondary in different schools and contexts. This has enriched my understanding of each stage of children’s development.
