A Monster of a Movie Night at the International School
What a welcome!
Halloween is always a fun season for the children and so the PTA decided we would host a 'A Monster of a Movie Night at the International School' to complement the range of Halloween community events taking place on the island.
We had a great turn out and would like to thank the community for their support.
The PTA had an unprecedented amount of volunteers to decorate the school in ghoulish and spooky spirit and also received a tremendous amount of baked treats, donated by the parents, to sell. Delicious cookies fingers, spider cup cakes and 'blood' iced cakes.
The scene was set for chilllllllled drinks and treats
The school grounds looked very atmospheric with massive spiders, cobwebs, ghosts and many decorations the children had made in class.
There were Halloween party bags on sale alongside the baked treats, cash bar and oodles of popcorn.
Plus there was a haunted house area with wailing, hanging ghosts and zombies. The children were actually not afraid at all but they found it fun anyway!
Spooktacular Party Bags
The children had an absolute blast running around in their pyjamas in the dark, while the parents relaxed and enjoyed the baked goodies and the special green punch.
Then it was time to settle down on the mats, bean bags and under their blankies to watch the movie 'Hotel Transylvania 2', a fun, family sequel.
The children were not even scared!
We would like to thank everyone who made the event possible and thank all the families who supported the event.
All proceeds of the event will go towards many great projects we have planned that will benefit the children greatly.
Every class designed and made decorations
This was our first attempt at an open air movie and we experienced a few technical hitches which we are working hard to overcome for the next movie event.
