Our Senior Kindergarten and Grade 6 have recently worked 
together on a number of projects for Diwali.
The older children were paired up with the younger children and rotated around a variety of activities.
- They made and decorated Diva lamps and put tea lights inside, to light in recognition of this festival of light, which is the Hindu New Year.
- They learnt about and told the story of Rama and Sita and how good triumphs over evil.
- They decorated Rangoli designs and hung them in the classroom to welcome Lakshmi goddess of wealth.
- They made LADOO candies because all most all celebrations involve special foods!
- Finally we had a Diwali party – some children dresses up, we lit our Diva lamps, acted out the story of Rama and Sita, ate our ladoos and celebrated with our friends!
