BRAINIACS END OF TERM 2 QUIZ

It has been a very busy second term and the children have worked incredibly hard.  The end of the school term is an important time to cement the experiences and lessons learnt so we created another fun and exciting Brainiac quiz to test their knowledge! The house teams of Caribs, Arawaks and Tainos were tested on spelling, science, music, maths, history, general knowledge, French and Spanish.  For this quiz the children were split into two groups starting with Senior Kindergarten to Grade 2 children and then Grade 3 to Grade 6 afterwards. The Caribs won the inaugural Brainiacs competition at the end of the first term in December 2012 (see Blog and Photos from the day).  Did they do it a second time? Who are the best listeners in the class?   All the children entered the competition with great enthusiasm and made their teachers very proud. The younger children handled the pressure, worked well together and wowed us all by getting the vast majority of their answers correct. Musical interludes and a chance to dance kept the children energized and ready for the next batch of questions! The older grades were really challenged in all subjects and it was a close battle. The Tainos pushed ahead and proved that they really have listened in class during term 2!  In fact the Tainos won overall in both Senior Kindergarten to Grade 2 and Grade 3 to Grade 6 categories!! The entire Taino team won Easter chocolate goodies. The challenge is on for term 3! Watch this space! The gallery captures the atmosphere of the quiz!
