The Wonders of the World

This term, our Grade 4 class has been learning about the magnificent Wonders of the World.

  We learnt about the 5 natural wonders:

1. Niagara Falls
2. Mount Everest
3. Aurora Borealis
4. The Great Barrier Reef
5. Grand Canyon

In addition we learnt about the 5 manmade wonders of the world:

1. Pyramids
2. Mount Rushmore
3. The Great Wall of China
4. Taj Mahal
5. Acropolis

 

Research and Travel

We looked at where each wonder is located in the world; country and continent. We have learned about how old each is and in some cases, how it was built. Some of our classmates have been very lucky to have visited some of these wonders.  

Recreating the Wonders!

Firstly, the students were given a PIZZA BOX CHALLENGE. Each student was given a pizza box to take home and were to bring it back to display as a wonder of the world. The results were incredible! I was very impressed with the efforts and creativity displayed by my class. They had a great deal of fun while learning. Take a look at what the fabulous Grade 4 students created.
