About IEYC, IPC and IMYC
The International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC), International Primary Curriculum (IPC) and International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC) offer a comprehensive educational journey designed to introduce students to a world of opportunity. Through thematic learning, your child will acquire subject knowledge, master key skills and develop a deeper understanding of the world around them.
These globally recognised curricula are meticulously researched and contemporary in design, guiding students to become reflective and active learners. They are equipped to lead their own learning journeys, both now and in the future. Students will emerge as globally competent, socially conscious and future-ready individuals, prepared to contribute positively on local and global levels.
Driven by Personal, International and Subject Learning Goals, the IEYC, IPC, and IMYC go beyond academics. In addition to languages, arts, sports and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Maths) subjects, your child will develop essential dispositions that will enable them to thrive as a learner. These curricula also foster international mindedness and global competence.
Personal Learning Goals
The International Curriculum Association (ICA) emphasises the development of eight key Personal Learning Goals to help students navigate and embrace challenges. These goals, embedded in the learning process, cultivate well-rounded, ethical and reflective individuals.
The Personal Learning Goals nurture students who are:
- Adaptable - Approaching learning with flexibility, exploring diverse roles, ideas and strategies.
- Collaborators - Developing leadership skills and understanding the value of teamwork.
- Communicators - Learning to communicate effectively and with integrity across multiple platforms.
- Empathetic - Recognising and understanding the feelings and experiences of others with kindness.
- Ethical - Making responsible, ethical decisions based on a strong moral compass.
- Resilient - Persevering through challenges and knowing when to seek support.
- Respectful - Treating all living things with care and respecting the environment.
- Thinkers - Applying critical thinking and problem-solving skills inside and outside the classroom.
On this page, you will discover how the IEYC, IPC, and IMYC curricula - offered at ISTCI - can provide your child with the skills and knowledge to excel academically.
