Celebrating ISTCI Conch Festival 2016! October is National Heritage Month at the Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI). This year’s theme is “Our Culture, Our Heritage, Our Turks and Caicos.” There are many events planned throughout the islands but one of the most exciting children’s event was the third annual ISTCI Conch Festival which took place on Friday October 21.

We are pleased to offer two fun camps which will be running at the International School over the mid-term break, October 2016. Everyone is welcome. We have an exciting SPORTS CAMP with Mr. Victor and Mr. Williams from 24th to the 26th October for all children from Grades 1- 6. Our FUN CAMP is a fun packed week is scheduled with Ms. Vina and Mrs. Jimenez. Activities include painting, crafts, lego, football, technology, dance, water-play and so much more. All children from 3 - 7 years old will love these activities!

We’ve got off to a great start at ISTCI! All of the children have been enjoying their first weeks of Computing lessons of the new school year. In Computing, students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 6 started off the school year by learning about the parts of a computer and e-Safety rules.

A free and informal workshop designed to increase knowledge and awareness for opportunities to support young children’s literacy development and how it plays a part in everyday life.
Presented by our Nursery School Manager, Evieann Barber. Evieann has a MA in Human Development Specializing in Leadership in Education, College Teaching and a BA in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Anthropology.
She holds a five year certification as a Child Life Specialist and a credential as a bereavement facilitator to work with families who are experiencing grief from a loss. Her love and dedication for working with children and families extends over 25 years.
