Brilliant Ballet Classes!
Provo, March 18 - The fun term of Ballet Classes with Miss Sandy for our little ones ended today on a high note with a beautiful presented Ballet Class open house. The open house drew in a big crowd of friends, siblings and family to watch the 10 plus children show off what they had learnt. Dressed in satin slippers and tutus the children not only looked cute but they looked calm, happy and very ready to perform! Miss Sandy believes in teaching the children the joy of dancing to classical music, moving freely, gracefully and expressively using classical ballet technique. During the 8 weeks of Ballet classes, part of the after school programme, the children have mastered the basic ballet steps and smiled all the way through! The presentation commenced with a musical warm up and then many graceful ballet moves were shown in a 'story-telling' montage, depicting butterflies, wrapping presents and even included the parents joining in the steps! According to Livestrong.com, as well as social and cognitive benefits, Ballet promotes physical strength and agility, can boost concentration, develops an understanding of music and rhythm and generates a love of movement. In addition to its physical benefits, ballet can also help to improve children's mental and emotional health. As children improve and master more challenging movement combinations, they feel more self-assured, which can carry over into other areas of their lives.Benefits of Ballet Classes:
