Junior Kindergarten talked about the five nutritious food groups ( fruit, vegetables, grains, dairy and protein). The children know that the key to eating well is to enjoy a variety of nutritious foods from each of the five food groups.
Mrs Vina taught them how to cook her favourite delicious and nutritious noodles with lots of vegetables. They had fun chopping the vegetables which also helped them to develop their fine motor skills. They were very excited to cook the noodles and it turned out very nice!
They had the noodles for lunch and they loved it so much.
After lunch, some of them showed their muscles and some of them said, "Ms. Vina, I became stronger and smarter!"
Mrs Vina is very proud of these children because they are healthy eaters.

Ingredients for Pansit Noodles
2 lbs. uncooked noodles – this version used a combination of pancit and vermicelli.
4 cups sliced mixed veggies: cabbage, carrots, and green onions.
