Visit from BWIC students
Students from Grade 9 at BWIC came to entertain us with dramatic performances of scripts they had written themselves and also read stories to the younger children. These were of a very high standard and were very much enjoyed by our children. It was especially nice to see some of our past students among the group! We are delighted to strengthen the relationship between our two schools.
Teacher Appreciation Day
THANK YOU very much to the PTA for our wonderful lunch and especially Angel and Stacey for decorating the staff room so beautifully and Lisa and Anna for taking on playground duty, so we could all enjoy lunch together. See our Thank you to our teachers!
World Book Day
So much going on, firstly, it was DEAR time (Drop Everything And Read) - The entire school, adults and children, dropped everything and read in a comfy spot for an hour. The younger children shared books or did book related activities. We then had opportunities for children to meet with real authors to learn about the process of writing a book - both fiction and non-fiction. Children worked on creating their own collaborative books - TCI ABCs!
We ended the day with a fabulous character parade - where there were children dressed up in all manner of wonderful costumes representing characters from Sleeping Beauty to Captain Underpants! View Full Blog
