Grade 6 - Investigating Electricity, Genetics, Macbeth and Fire!
These last few weeks we have been very busy. In Literacy we have finished Macbeth - it was a fabulous!
We are now reading Romeo and Juliet. It is a very romantic story.
“Double, double, toil and trouble;
Fire burn, and cauldron bubble!”
― William Shakespeare, Macbeth
We have just finished our science topic of Electricity and everyone did really well on the end of the topic test.
We are now beginning Human Reproduction and Relationships and focusing presently on genetics... we are all so different!
In Maths we have been using mirrors, focusing on reflections, rotations and symmetry using co-ordinates – very cool!
We also went on a really cool field trip to the fire station at the airport which Daz and Kim Meehan organized for us – it was awesome!
We put out a fire, stood to attention, went in the fire engines and even slid down the fireman’s pole… it was really cool and we even related it to polygons in Maths.
What a cool few weeks - we are exhausted!
