On October 31st Grade 5 had the pleasure of inviting Ms Shona McKenna in to speak about the importance of conflict management and disaster relief.
Currently, they are learning about extreme earth events such as earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanoes, tornadoes and hurricanes. Shona shared her experiences and explained the necessary skills people needed to be able to help, both locally and internationally when a disaster strikes.
Grade 5 had the chance to ask many questions, share their own personal experiences and investigated how they could develop their own personal toolkit of skills to be helpful in future.
We were very grateful to Ms Shona McKenna for sharing her wealth of information with us! Thank you!
