On Friday 7^th June, ISTCI’s Eco-Warriors ventured to Blue Haven to present to various government departments all the amazing work the ISTCI community has done over the year to reduce our waste. The children presented the successes and challenges of our Greening Our Schools initiative.  They recapped all the action points we created; from swap shops to assemblies, and composting to creating art from our rubbish.

The efforts of the eco-council, the ISTCI students and staff, and our wider ISTCI community meant we came second overall, winning Green Flag status and a cash prize. This would not have been possible without the involvement and combined efforts of everyone in our school, so thank you for all the hard work that has been done both in class and at home. Please look out for a beautiful, new, green flag that will proudly fly out the front of the school, and please do join us on the 19^th of June for another ‘SWAP SHOP’ on the basketball court from 2.30-3.30.
