For the past two weeks, our lovely JK class have been learning about Teddy Bears. They have looked at lots of lovely stories, been on a bear hunt, had a teddy bear’s picnic, made pompon bears and many more wonderful things besides.
They also used Talk4Writing to learn the story of the three little bears and the three little pigs, using the language of story tellers. They then took these stories and created (innovated) their own story - The Three Little Bears and The Big Bad Wolf.
They were all able to use actions and join in with retelling it using many different formats: puppets, actions, masks, small world toys and building sets for the story.
