Swimming is all about good times!
The children enjoyed the competitive yet fun swimming gala hosted at the ISTCI swimming pool!
Swimming in their house teams the children from Senior Kindergarten to Grade 6 tried their hardest and had a super splashy time!
Their confidence in the water and the high standard of swimming strokes was clearly evident and largely due to the swimming curriculum and award system the children have followed all year.
The races showcased all the main strokes, including the difficult butterfly and backstroke, and the children particularly enjoyed the relay races and the 'dive and retrieve' contests.
The teacher versus parent relay race was energetically cheered on by the children and was too close to call, well that's what the teachers said!
Congratulations to everyone who took part, especially to 'Arawaks' the winning house team.
We would like to thank those parents who have helped with the swimming programme throughout the year.
