Students of the International School of Turks and Caicos Islands' Art and Design Department were introduced to the Japanese Art of paper-folding called origami.
Its name derives from Japanese words ori (“folding”) and kami (“paper”). Traditional origami consists of folding a single sheet of square coloured paper into a sculpture without cutting, glueing, taping, or even marking it.
Enjoy some of the origami pieces from turtles, birds and dinosaurs and more created by our Grades 3-6 students!
