SK took an exciting school trip to explore Shell Island and Iguana Island with Talbot Adventures.
On the way, they stopped to witness an exciting fish feeding with many different kinds of fish along with seagull friends that joined throughout the trip.
At Shell Island, the class collected all the shells they could find while playing in the beautiful water. Next, they headed out to Iguana Island.
On their way, they stopped by Fort George and looked the cannons in the water. The first mate shared interesting stories about Ft. George and how the cannons ended up in the water. The class loved it!
Their last stop was Iguana Island where they watched videos of iguanas. The class couldn't wait to see them in person!
As they got closer to Iguana Island, JoJo the dolphin showed up to play!
The captain brought them closer and JoJo showed off this spunk and loved the excited awes and chattering from the boat. Too excited to stay in the boat, four volunteer parents and a teacher jumped in to swim with JoJo!
After JoJo swam off SK anchored at Iguana Island. Invigorated, the class set off to meet the iguanas. They found out that half the class were quite scared of the little guys, while the other half chased them and wanted to get closer and closer.
SK had a great adventure feeding fish, collecting shells, seeing cannons, unexpectedly meeting JoJo, and seeing the iguanas up close!
The shells we collected will be used for an art project the SK class are working on. SK is learning about the different countries they are from, from culture to types of animals that live there to what makes their country special.
On their trip, SK grasped the uniqueness that this Turks and Caicos has to offer.
