On the 21st October, the PTA hosted a Spooktacular Double Movie Night at the Digicel Movie Theatre.
Around 200 adults and children arrived to enjoy the exciting evening! The children really enjoyed trying out their Halloween creations and costumes. There such a range of creative costumes from vampires, Monsters High school girls, witches, Princess, Cleopatra and blood curdling zombies. The foyer was full of spooky fun with cauldrons, laden with toys and goodies, and pirates and vampires taking the tickets!
What a treat! The PTA asked for treat donations to sell and was amazed by the generosity and the creativity of the treats they received. The table was overflowing with scrumptious candy apples, delicious cupcakes, brownie tombstones, marshmallow ghosts, lollipop ghosts, meringue ghosts, huge cookies and zombie and pumpkin pots of candy.
The children really enjoyed sitting with all their friends and enjoying the Halloween themed movies. Meanwhile, the older children enjoyed scarier classics in the small theatre. At the interval there was a little time for a raffle competition and also a costume competition. All the children lined up and the winners were Zoe Diotte-Joly for being a ‘Washing Machine’ and Oliver French for his ‘Mad Scientist’ costume. The judge felt the homemade efforts of the costume really stood out.
The event was a great success, as it was not only huge fun but managed to raise much needed funds for the ‘teacher and school wish list’. The total profit raised was approx. $1,500!! Thank you to everyone who helped serve, take tickets and organise the event.
The Leeward Halloween Trick and Treat Trail on the 31st was a wild night of fun and more amazing costumes. The PTA provided a pit stop for drinks and food and a very special witch was tricking the children with riddles!! Thank you to all those leeward families that treated the children a night of fun. The evening finished off at Mr. Park's spooooooky garden.
