Could we have the most fun Kindergarten in Turks and Caicos?
Well after seeing all the smiles at the Preschool and Junior Kindergarten Sports Fest, it certainly seems so!
The annual Sports Fest was full of fun, laughs and happy memories again this year. We are very spoilt here to be able to always hold the event outside in the Kindergarten playground in the wonderful sunshine of the Turks and Caicos! The obstacle courses was creatively decorated in the blue, red and yellow house colours and balloons.
The event started with the ‘lighting of the flame’ to the Chariots of Fire theme tune. All the Kindergarten and Preschoolers carried their 'torch' to light the festival flame!
Then we were treated to a Preschool cheering song and then Junior Kindergarten did a full cheer leading routine!
The children, dressed in their house colours, made their parents and teachers proud as they bravely attempted the running and obstacle races.
As with everything in Kindergarten the emphasis is on fun and everyone taking part. It's not about winning at this stage but more about boosting self esteem.
The children from Senior Kindergarten to Grade 6 participate in a competitive Sports Day each year at the National Sports Track. See full blog.
As you can see in the gallery below the little ones had great fun and enjoyed being cheered on by the whole school.
We were very proud of our little competitors. We really do have a very special child-centred Kindergarten in the Turks and Caicos!
