I am Bennett Williams, honored to be serving as the Swim Coach at the International School of the Turks and Caicos Islands since 2015. With a dedicated coaching career spanning over 6 years, I possess a wealth of experience working with swimmers of all levels, from beginners taking their first strokes to competitive athletes striving for excellence. My tenure at the International School in the Turks and Caicos Islands has been marked by remarkable success in guiding novice swimmers towards achieving fundamental swimming proficiency. I am thrilled to announce my continued association with the International School of the Turks and Caicos Islands for the calendar year 2023 – 2024, where I will assume the roles of Swimming Coach, Physical Education Instructor, and Art and Design Specialist. Over the course of my 12-year career as a Physical Education Teacher, I have had the privilege of imparting knowledge and instilling a passion for physical fitness in students across Jamaica, Bermuda, and the Turks and Caicos Islands. My coaching portfolio extends beyond the pool, encompassing various varsity-level sports, including Football, Volleyball, and, of course, Swimming. My teaching philosophy revolves around promoting "Life-Long Fitness," emphasizing that while not every student may be physically fit, all must grasp the concept of good health and the significance of remaining active. I firmly believe in offering students choices to enhance their engagement and commitment to daily activities. In my capacity as the Art and Design Specialist, I have had the privilege of teaching in both high and primary schools, specializing in Jamaica, Bermuda, and the Turks and Caicos Islands. My art classes are thoughtfully crafted to foster learning and personal development. I design open-ended, process-driven projects that encourage students to nurture their ideas, improve their personal communication skills, and refine their artistic abilities. My teaching repertoire spans various mediums, including drawing, collage, assemblage, and more. I am genuinely enthusiastic about continuing my journey with the International School of the Turks and Caicos Islands, and I look forward to contributing to the holistic development and growth of our students in the upcoming academic year.
