Our Team
I am delighted to be teaching at ISTCI and living in these beautiful islands!
I studied at Chichester University, England, where I achieved my BA (Hons) in English. My love of reading and literature was further ignited, and eventually, I went on to complete my PGCE at the University of Hertfordshire, England. I have taught in various schools; Grade 1- Grade 6 and explored many teaching styles, and have also had a lot of experience with SEN. I have also mentored several students to gain their teaching qualifications. I received my Master of Arts in Education from the Open University; the mathematics element has particularly interested me, and then went on to complete two Montessori Diplomas from NAMC, one in Early Childhood and the other in Lower Elementary. More recently I have been part of a maths Mastery study group with NCETM.
Academic success is important, of course, but so is having a childhood! I love to create fun, memorable activities for the children to remember their childhoods and their school days fondly.
I believe in happy and curious children. I promote a healthy, active lifestyle and understand the links between mental and physical health. It is both a huge privilege and responsibility to help shape these little people. I hope to inspire a passion for lifelong learning. I aim to excite children with stories and music and spark their imagination and creativity with magical storytelling… always lots of stories!
