Grade 1 - Curriculum Overview

Grade 1 Toys Long Ago This unit consists of toys and books. Children will look at their own toys and then study toys their parents, grandparents and even great-grandparents may have played with. They will look at similarities and differences, identifying changes in materials and technology.  They will paint a picture of a chosen toy.

Then they move on to study changes in children’s book illustrations.  The Block culminates in the setting up of a toy and book museum.
