Brrrr it's cold out there!

This month we are learning about "winter and Arctic animals". Being in a warm climate it's hard for the children to visualize what cold is. So we brought in mitten, gloves and scarfs and made ice sculptures. We made snow and had a snow fall. We learned where polar bears and penguins live,  and we learned how they keep themselves warm. We made penguins from circles and bottles. We learned that the sun in Turks and Caicos melts the ice very fast !!!! We enjoyed it when we had winter in preschool in the Turks and Caicos!
