'Children Around the World' - Stunning Christmas Star-lit Show

"Christmas-Play-2014-94"Following on from the very fun and festive Christmas Fair, The International School put on a beautiful show for all the many parents and friends - see the gallery below!

This year's Christmas play entitled 'Children around the World' was beautifully atmospheric being set outside under a sky of stars and fairy lights. It was quite simply a stunning Christmas star-lit show!

All the children from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 6 from the International School performed in the play. The Grade 6 pupils took the lead role of 'Angel' narrators and took the children on a journey to explore the meaning of Christmas and the way it is celebrated in many countries, such as Malawi, Australia, Ireland, China and of course the Turks and Caicos Islands.

There was a huge range of songs, some upbeat, others more wistful, which were performed confidently and were obviously well-rehearsed. We were especially proud of Destini and Ryan for their excellent solo performances. Our music teacher Mrs. Laura Rennie worked very hard with the children to produce such beautiful singing.

The traditonal costumes from France and Malawi were well researched and really stood out.

The PTA provided refreshments before and after the show. Many thanks to the helpers!

Congratulations to the children and the teaching staff for putting on a stunning show that entertained us all and made the festive season that bit more special.

The classes have blogged about their festive activities too - Junior Kindergarten, Senior Kindergarten, Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 4, Grade 5
